Adult Ballet Basics for Classical and Contemporary Dancers

INDEPENDENT, friendly, welcoming, community dance classes, beginning to intermediate levels, with a freakish focus on mechanics and technique at the barre, and playful, fun, skill building classical and contemporary combinations in the center and across the floor. 

Great classes for beginners with at least an intro class under their belt, dancers returning from short to long breaks, and dancers of any level and style looking to strengthen basic technique, for stronger, long-term dancing in any form. Excellent classes to compliment and expand the Dance de la Terre experience.

Tuesdays, 5:45-7:15pm
Ballet Basics I
Foundational Ballet Technique for wisdom, strength and grace, highlighted and expanded with fun classical and contemporary combos to nourish and free the Spirit.
Beg-Int

Thursdays, 5:45-7:15pm
Ballet Basics II
While standing on its own, this class also builds on concepts, combos and choreographies from Tuesday evening class, to continue deepening into the weekly practice of ballet.

Gentle Ballet Basics I
For women over 55 - and anyone else looking for a gentle, beginner class! Come enjoy the benefits of ballet in a welcoming, playful and ultra supportive environment in order to develop strength, balance, flexibility, focus and concentration, as well as grace and ease of movement. This body positive class builds confidence, community and JOY!
