THANK YOU FOR 20 AMAZINGLY WONDEROUS YEARS, MAPLE STREET!
Established in 2004, and home of Dancing Our Magick & Ballet de la Terre Original Community Contemporary Dance, Maple Street Dance Space was known for celebrating the strength, grace and confidence gained through the practice and self expression of dance, and other movement and mindfulness practices, particularly as they relate to community, a sense of belonging, diversity, and ultimately, CONNECTION, through dance.
These values DANCE ON!
Although Maple Street Dance Space has closed its doors, owner and director Romy Keegan, continues to nourish her unique vision for playful, beginner friendly adult community dance, through her ongoing adult dance programs, including Ballet de la Terre: original, contemporary, community dance and fitness, and Ballet Basics for Contemporary Dancers. For more information on her ongoing projects please visit: DancingOurMagick.com
Dance holds incredible HEALING power for our bodies, minds and hearts - especially for adult dancers, who are often carrying extra loads of pressure and stress while balancing family and (over)work. Whether discovering dance for the first time, or coming back to it after years away, practicing dance provides a very special time and space for the mind to calm and the heart to open. Through focus, intention, personal exploration, self expression, and community connection, dance naturally strengthens, tones, and brings balance and flexibility to both the body and the spirit - and it is NEVER too late to bring these gifts into your life!
ENJOY, and BE WELL!
We acknowledge and honor that we are dancing on the traditional homeland of the Indigenous Peoples of New Mexico. It is our intention to celebrate the land that we dance on and to respect and honor the descendants of its original inhabitants. #HonorNativeLand #BlackLivesMatter, and All Beings of any and all persuasion with Loving Intentions are WELCOME.
